No one can tell me who made this piece. Even had well known antique collector say they have never seen anything like it. Hmmmmm???

Well, I am sure that the one-or-other person can not name the manufacturing factory behind these items, as that is indeed unknown. In fact multiple factories seem involved, taking overall mold detail as well as decoration into account – quality varies so far that these item don’t appear to be from ONE factory.

Sold in Europe and the US as “undocumented” [insert-claimed-but-incorrect-name-here], including well-known German, Italian or English makers. Background stories vary, depeding on region of sales, expertise of customer, and price range.

At least one figure group – showing the same mark – came together with a fake Derby mark and a seller who claimed that the figure had been designed by “S. Hancock” (hence marked SH). The same seller previously stated that a similar figure had been made by German von Schierholz (which the factory then denied).
