Hi I have an pretty unusual cup here.At least it is to me. I’ve researched it extensively & have determined 100% that it is a Carl Tielsch due to the mark on the bottom. & I believe it is what is called a ‘memory cup’ but I haven’t been able to find anything out there quite like it. It’s very well made & has a gilt band around the inside lip & 2 gilt bands/gilt leaf on the handle. It is beautifully hand painted with a domestic scene & a military scene and what seems to be a story above the panels. The problem is the lines are handwritten & I don’t read German. I’ve taken pics but the handwriting is really hard to make out so I’ve added my own idea of the words below for each panel. Could anyone please help me translate this story? I would love so much to know a little more about the history of this cup.
Thank You

‘Chif emsor(u?)m Ailler Wadis, hab ich a(o?)n meme liebe Miller ged achs’

Without knowing the exact spelling of the words I can only give you the high points !! It is a memory cup And says roughly That “The morning coffee is not happy in memory of the loving mother the heart aches.” Not exact words but same thought !! The front says Loving Mother, Maria Wolters 1909 !!
