Hello,

I need help identifying if this is an authentic mark. Based on my research, I think the mark is Vincennes / Sevres 1754 – 5 (Interlaced L’s marks enclosing the date letter B ).

The piece is a cobalt or lapis blue fluted flower bowl with gilt scrolls cartouches issuing leaves and flowers.

Thank you for your assistance.

Thank you for your response. I have done as much research as I can on the mark, the factory and the period. I am sure that if this a real mark it is from Sevres 1754. There are many examples on various sites including Christies Auction house. Here is an image of the reference sheet I used.

What I have not been able to discern is whether or not the piece is authentic. My research also revealed that there a lot of fakes.

I’m wondering if anyone knows how I can tell if this authentic or where I can go get help.

Thanks again.
