Hi – I have a pottery Baseball Glove Ashtray that has Van Briggle Colo. Spgs. with an emblem that looks like “A” in a rectangle box. I found it in my mom’s house after she was deceased. I am sending pictures. I would like to sell it. Can you please tell me an approximate amount that it is worth. Thank you very much. Sandra

It was Rauville on antique-shop.com that posted the information !! He is a wealth of knowledge on some of the most unique items. We have many excellent researchers there !! We would be happy to have you join if you wish !! Its a family atmosphere and we all work together there !! I am the only one here regularly !! One or two others pop in occasionally.!!
No matter which forum you use we will sure try to be as helpful as possible !! Glad to have helped a bit !!

Martha – Thank you for such complete information. You have been extremely helpful. . This is the first time that I have entered a forum and asked a question. I had no idea I would get this response. Thank you. Sandra

Since the skull is not actually on the ashtray I think I would choose another pic !! There are those that like skulls and such and might want it for that reason !! Best to show it as it actually is !!
Glad we could help !! I was not aware of the Dryden pottery merger with Van Briggle !! We both learned something from your post !!
Look on ebay and see prices on other ashtray`s Just keep your start price about the same or slightly lower if you can still make a decent profit !!
Good luck with the sale !!

Martha – I can’t believe that you found it with so much information. That’s great!! I wrote to the person who had one just like it listed on Etsy asking her if she would give me the selling price of hers. The story is so interesting about the making of the ashtray. Did you notice that someone commented after Rauville saying that it is not a glove. When I post it on eBay should I post the picture that shows the skull? Thank you for all of your help. Sandra
