The bottom of a cookie jar made by Los Angeles Pottery has an unsightly dark orange patch both inside and out.

That as well as smoke and just air can have impurities that discolor pottery ! But don`t worry if there are no stains ,, everyone would assume its a reproduction ! The bottom helps to show age !
