Garlic is what I had in mind !! But haven`t found anything similar !! Look at the mark and see if it is under the glaze or on top of the glaze !! Will appear less shiny if on top !!
It appears to be on top of the glaze. Do you think this means it’s a forgery of some type? Or maybe it was a valuable piece that had the original maker’s mark removed from the bottom, (then reglazed)? I haven’t found that particular mark anywhere online so far.
