I have two framed etchings.

The first is marked around the portrait Angelica Kauffman pinxit Raph Morghen Suclp 1794

Below the portrait it is marked Fortunata Sulgher Fantastica

I discovered that this was engraved at Florence 1794 for the edition of Improvistatrice’s Poems, published at Leghorn, 1794

The second is an etching of Joan of Arc illustrated by Charles Etiene Gaucher and engraved by C. Ponce for the Voltaire book La pucelle d’Orleans, poeme en vingt-un chants in 1795.

I was thinking these were both removed from the books and framed. But the Joan of Arc engraving does not have “Jeanne D’Arc” in the box below the portrait as it appears in the book.

Both prints were framed in a similar manner and have old paper backings. These appear not to be prints since there are no visible dots when magnified.

Any clues you can provide on where they could be from and a value is appreciated.[/img]
