H Hargrove Painting found in thrift store. I initially purchased it because I liked it and when trying to learn more about it I noticed a few things: First, it doesn’t seem to be a print or serigraph an actual oil painting. Can anyone confirm this? Second, Ive noticed this “version” of Champaign Train Station has some differences unique to every other one I’ve seen. Most notably, the smoke from the train billows over the steeple of the train station and even covers it. Can anyone comment on why this painting is different from the others? Is this valuable or significant beyond the norm?

Thanks for your time, I’m excited to learn more about this. Everything has been photographed to give you the scope of the entirety of this piece. No markings on the back or numbers, just a canvas that appears to have been cut to fit the frame and seemingly the original frame based on what I’ve seen from others as well.

Its either a serigraph or a lithograph !! He printed many from his original works !! Canvas and frame are from Mexico as you can see on back !! Could have done two versions or more of the same scene !! As a print value is running between $20. and $25. !! Many of his prints are listed online !!
