Framed Louis Icart print “Seagulls”. Size w/frame is 30 1/2″ x 24 1/2″. Print is egg shaped and is 19 3/4″ x 15 3/4″. Louis Icart signature on white matting lower right. Upper right on white matting “Copyright 1926 by Gravevrs Modernes 1904 or 1964”-then there is a word I cannot read. This is printed in black ink. What do I have? It is worth anything or is it a garage sale item? It was bought at a garage sale for $50 a few years ago.

Louis Justin Laurent Icart … Or, Louis Icart.
His etchings epitomize the depiction of women during the art deco period.
He created in excess of 500 etchings using a combination techniques including
etchings and dry point with hand coloring. He created full sized etchings, erotic illustrated books,
beautiful pastel enhanced lithographs, menu covers, posters, postcards, advertising
prints, and oils on canvas.
Seagulls was copyright 1926. The word that you can not make out is probably, R[ue] de Rivoli, Paris.
I’ve seen Louis Icarts Seagulls etching/print, color drypoint and aquatint with hand-colouring, printed a la poupee, oval format, text with date sell between $300.-2,500.
Is it numbered? Signed in pencil? To the right buyer, you may have something very valuable.
