I recently discovered that a painting I purchased about 15 years ago at a local flea market was painted by William Tolliver. I believe the medium is oil pastels and it’s on paper (30″ x 46″). At some point prior to my acquiring it, it sustained some water damage at the bottom of the paper (approximately 5″) so it has a waterline, it doesn’t appear to have affected the artists work though.
I am curious if anyone has any idea of what the actual market value of this piece of artwork might be, and where to market it if I decide to sell it. It’s been rolled up and stored inside a tbe the entire time that I’ve owned it. Thank you for your input, Kent Williams, San Francisco
