My wife and I were at a thrift store and came across a 21″ x 29″ framed illustration of “Small Island Residents” by Beaume & Comberworth. The frame is quite old as the back of the frame has wooden slats with nails holding them in. The printing at the bottom left says “Peint Par Beaume & Comberworth. The print in the bottom center says “Paul & Virginie”. The print in the lower left corner says “Grave Par Gautier”. From what we have found on Google, the illustration was created around 1850. It is not in pristine condtion as it has water marks on the lower left edge and various dark spots. But it appears to be something of value. There is very little information on search sites on this illustration. Any comments on value or additional information would be greatly appreciated.
