Hi,
I recently bought out an estate and an original Robert Templton painting was part of it. I’ve found that he is a highly regarded and accomplished artist but I’m unable to come up with even a ball park evaluation of the value of his work(s). I’ve attached a picture – any ideas?
Thanks,
Aaron

Check out this page on his website !! I assume these are some of the paintings from the department store in the article because many are just numbered !! A commissioned painting will be named !! On all that show his signature he signs as “Templeton” !! I have not found any of his works where he used the R.T. initials !! Also if you will look at these portraits,, the style is completely different !! Look at how he uses highlights !!
Now,, I asked if there was a glass on yours,, so you do not have an oil painting or acrylic !! A glass on an oil or acrylic would mold and mildew !! So your work is likely pastel !! Templeton did a few pastel works but I still am not convinced it is his work !! I did find another on ebay,,same signature, same style,, same department store !! #131604813726 !! You can look it up by the number to compare !! We can not use ebay links on this site !!
At the link I gave you you will find a “contact us” !! They could verify if it was his or not !! I would suggest emailing them with good pics and let them say yes or no !! If the answer is no,, I am curious how that article came to be posted on the back !!
This has been a tough one !! Let me know what they say !! I am curious !!
