Have a cast iron rendering cauldron stove; stands approximately 42″ high; the cauldron is removable and sits above the fire box. which is held up on legs. I have been told it was made for hog rendering fat. Marks on front reflect “Cribben & Sexton Company Chicago ILL; 30 gallon; 1856, This piece has never been used in almost perfect condition. Probably weighs around 250 pounds. I have seen one sitting in Union Oregon in a museum which was in bad shape. Have also seen the cauldron portion in NE Washington but have never seen another one. I have been trying to find something about it on the internet with no avail. I’m looking for possible value so I can sell. I do know its extremely rare

Different company,, more ornate and sold in 2007 !! The mfr is not really important on items like this !! Its condition is !! 1856 is probably the model number,, Cribben & Sexton was founded in 1873 !! They were a huge company for the time !!
You could start your stove at $1500. and see where it goes !! Value is only determined by what someone is willing to pay for it !!
