Hi, hope someone could perhaps clear up a few questions myself and my family have about an item.
It is a large brass tray for want of a better word, it is inscribed with the star of David with some writing in the centre.
I don’t think it was pressed as it is quite thick so I am suspecting casting for the method of manufacture.
My father collected it over 50 years ago and it sat on our lounge wall on a decorative bracket. He has passed away some 8 years ago and none of us, himself included, had any idea as to what it was and if it had any commercial or historical value.
If someone could please offer some answers that would be wonderful.

Many thanks, Laurence

Hope today was better for you !! I know how those long days are !!
There are many of these trays with similar designs !! Not sure of the size of yours but some came as table tops with a fold up base !! Some were sets of two,, one large and one smaller !! Look on the back of yours and see if there are 4 wear areas or scratches around the outside edge !! Others were just used as yours has been,, wall art !! Popular 1960`s or about !! Thats when I remember them !! Writing may be Hebrew !! It is quite a nice tray !!
