Well,, the general consensus is that these may have been on some sort of exhibition in the Miami area !! They said to look at the bottom of the feet to see if they may have been attached to something at some time !! I found nothing similar anywhere except as stated in the thread !! That does lead me to believe they were made for some particular purpose !! A custom order in other words !! You might consider sending pics to Antiques Roadshow and see what they say !! I think they do free appraisals !! Wish we could have been of more help but you hit a roadblock if there is nothing to compare it to !! Sorry !! One thing you should do is check them carefully with a magnifying glass for a name or foundry !! Someone had to have cast them and most castings are marked somewhere !! Even bottom of the feet !!
