I picked up these two swans at a thrift shop. They measure about 5″ high and 4″ long. The only mark on the bottom reads “SILVER.” They are silver and enamel.

The wings come off one and each has a removable back as a lid for the interior, which is blue enamel. I can take more pictures.

I have no idea where they came from, what they’re for, or what they’re worth. Any help is appreciated.

These little trinket boxes are not hard to find !! One think to keep in mind silver will always be marked !! Even cheap electroplate is marked as such !! When you find things like this “silver” can refer to the color as in silver or gold colored,,not that it includes any actual silver or gold !!
