I bought these just because I liked the way they look.
I cleaned one up, and thought it might be silver or silver plate. Polished the one with Brasso. The polishing cloth turned black, and the candle holder shines beautifully now. The Red spiral fluted balls are glass. They are 12 1/4 inches tall, 4 3/4 inches wide at the base.

Wondering what style, age, value, Silver or Silver Plate?
The one on the left is (obviously) the clean and polished one.

If no marks then it is likely a thin silver plate!! Can`t really assign a style to items like this !! Generally they just made what looked good and sold well !! No real way to know when they were made but my guess is around mid century !!

No makers mark anywhere on either one.
Thanks for the reply.

Look carefully on the metal parts adn see if there is a mark anywhere !! Can be on the underside or anywhere !! Check both of them !! I am thinking silver plate but can`t always tell from pics !!
