My parents received a statue titled “L’Harmonie Par H Moreau” as a wedding gift in 1972. Growing up, I always loved the statue and now that my parents are deceased, I have it in my home. I tried doing an Internet search to find information on this statue and after looking at hundreds of images from the Moreau brothers, I was only able to find a picture of this statue once, under the title “Harmonie”. The website that had the picture wants my credit card to tell me how much they sold it for. I really don’t want to do that so I am wondering if anyone has information about this statue. It does have the label that it was made in France and being that my great grandparents were the ones that gave it, it’s not surprising because they were from Europe. ANY information would be appreciated. Thank you!

It looks silvery when the coating is scratched through !! Would be hard to check on your statue because the statue is on a base which may not be the same metal !! What I did see on yours is the close up that shows the toes !! If you notice the discoloration between the toes and looks like the top coat has chipped off !! Bronze does not do that !! Bronze will darken in some areas and look like a rich mahogany in other places depending on the mixture used !! I am betting yours is spelter with a bronze coating. Does not mean it has no value just not what the same statue in bronze would be worth !!
