My parents received a statue titled “L’Harmonie Par H Moreau” as a wedding gift in 1972. Growing up, I always loved the statue and now that my parents are deceased, I have it in my home. I tried doing an Internet search to find information on this statue and after looking at hundreds of images from the Moreau brothers, I was only able to find a picture of this statue once, under the title “Harmonie”. The website that had the picture wants my credit card to tell me how much they sold it for. I really don’t want to do that so I am wondering if anyone has information about this statue. It does have the label that it was made in France and being that my great grandparents were the ones that gave it, it’s not surprising because they were from Europe. ANY information would be appreciated. Thank you!
Thanks for looking at it. My husband took the base off becuase it was just screwed on with an old bolt and square washer. The statue is hollow on the inside but is still quite heavy. I have seen that spelter coated statues can still have value but I just dont know where to go to have it appraised. I also find it weird that I can’t find information online. I am not interested in selling, just curious of the value for insurance purposes.
