I do not blame you a bit !! I would keep it too !! And yes,, the younger generation is only interested in the modern name brand stuff !! Perhaps eventually they will learn what true class looks like,,of course by then their modern stuff will be in the antique or vintage category !!

Thanks Martha, appreciate your taking time to look at my set. I have some other Matson pieces and thought this set looked similar. Since posting this question I did find names of other makers like Stylebuilt, Guildcrest, Globe, Yule, but didn’t find anything that looked like this other than the Matson. I do see prices going all over the place on vintage collectibles; I think younger people aren’t interested. But I plan on keeping this set, it looks so nice.

It all looks correct for Matson Golden Rose vanity set !! But of course there were other mfrs that made similar sets !! If one is marked as Matson I would go with that !! I checked Ebay for the asking prices and some are pretty high,,but they are not selling !! There are a few bids on some single pieces !! I would say your six piece set should bring between $150. and $175. since it looks in excellent condition !! But thats no guarantee !! You can not outguess the buying public !!

“Matson” appears on the taller perfume bottle. No marks on the other pieces.

Are there marks or names anywhere?? Where did you get the set ??
