I am looking for some information on this teapot, creamer and sugar. I have searched every Meridan and silver plate website I can find including the Meridan catalog from 1873. I can not find this set anywhere. The marking on the bottom is Meridan B.Company in a circle with scales. 1873 is underneath. I have attached a picture of the set. I would really appreciate any help anyone could give me. Thanks so much.
The Meriden Britannia company was founded in 1859 in Meriden Connecticut. It was one of the pioneers in silver plated objects, and later became part of the international silver company in 1898. I don’t know anything about this particular set, but I do know that their pieces can be quite collectable as far as silver plate goes. I hope I could help at least a little!
