Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have inherited a silver coffee pot. There is no company name on it. Just a number,2249, engraved on the bottom that lightly engraved on the bottom. It was a wedding gift to my Great-great Grandmother in the 1850’s. It may have been handed down from a relative. I’m trying to find out what it might be worth and what company made it.
