Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

American Colonial cast iron dutch oven: I am beginning our search for an American made, cast iron dutch oven, from Americas colonial period..up to and including 1780. We want one without hearth legs and it needs to be ‘usable’ as we intend to use it annually on the fourth of July for baking beans and service at out table. I need help finding one…any leads or offers for sale?
