Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I inherited this. It’s been in the family since at least 1890. The cover comes off, you put a votive candle in it. Not show is the ring attached to the base that you can put your index finger through to carry it around. It’s about five inches in diameter and six and a half inches high, with a circular vent hole at the top. I haven’t found any markings on it to indicate manufacturer, date, etc. Does anybody know where it came from?
