Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I bought a small (about 4″ x3.5″) metal painted mermaid on a pedestal/stand. The metal is heavy, possibly painted brass, as it has a slight patina underneath the mermaid. Very detailed, attached to the stand by 2 screws. Underneath, where the nuts are holding the screws is a name with possibly2 initials.. Very hard to decipher, but it looks like M M Jonny or Jenny. The mermaid has a small plate shaped dish in her lap. The stand is painted black, and the mermaid is sitting and painted tannis brown. I’d just like to know its possible history, and where ir might have come from and the value, and if ther are any more like it! Any help would be appreciated.
