Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have a copper “box” approx. 3-1/4″ x 1-3/4″ and 2-1/2″ tall. Marked Benedict on bottom. Has the bee in a diamond with letter “B” on each side. Nothing else, no date or numbering of the piece. The lid has a sphinx on it. The front of the “box” has an egyptian looking woman with wings. The lid is no longer attached, and it has a small crack on the back of the box. I was told that it use to have a lining inside. If so, it is no longer there either. Do you have any ideas what this could be? When was it made? and Is it worth anything?

I haven’t been able to find out any info on this piece and would appreciate anything you know!
