Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I bought this recently off an auction and think I have identified it as a model made by Tiffany, sculpted by F. W. Ruckstuhl, ca. 1894. I plugged in “hackney bronze” in Google and found a May 28, 1894 article from the New York Times that described how Tiffany planned to series of statuettes of “fashionable and popular breeds of horses.” I haven’t found anything else that refers to horses made by Tiffany. If I could search ads from that time, maybe I would come up with something. Any suggestions for doing that? This horse is 10″ tall, without a base, and is solid, weighing in at 5 lbs. One back leg is damaged. No ID marks on the horse. Would anybody have any ideas about its value? Thanks!
