Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have a cast iron bell – I think it was on old school bell because the clanger is worn on both sides from use. The only markings on it is a #8 and it measures 17.5 dia and 12.5 tall. Was hoping someone could tell me who the mfg, age, and approx. selling price for this item. Can anyone help me identify the function, approximate age and/or country of origin of this item? I purchased at a local thrift store.
It appears to be made of silver and glass. I do not see any maker’s marks.
The top, which is attached by a chain to the body, comes off to access an interior glass cylindrical compartment. Overall size is 10″ x 1 1/4″.
An incense holder and a jewish scroll holder have been previously suggested, but I haven’t been able to obtain a firm identification.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank-you.
