Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everybody,

I have a TON of pewter pieces; left to me years ago by a family member. I believe the majority of them came from English Bed & Breakfasts. Does anyone know where I can price the value of these items or find a market for them? They are all stamped, have serial numbers and very pretty stamps that I assume are the insignias of the restaurants or hotels who purchased them originally.

I have gone through Kovels.com but cannot find many of the specific items.

Thanks in advance,
Jennifer

Should collectible silver spoons, napkin rings, etc be cleaned and polished, or do collectors prefer the grunge patina?

Many years ago I purchased a 9 inch pewter plate with a coat-of-arms on the front
which I have never been able to identify. On the rear there is a stamp L L with a lion between the two
Ls and the year 1686 underneath. Next to that stamp is a horseshoe shaped stamp with a Large C
surrounded in smaller letters with the letters LAREOLLE.

I am attaching a picture of the coat-of arms.

Would you be able to tell me its origin, to whom it may have belonged,
or any other information?

Looking for any information on miniature pewter jointed figures christmas ornaments. They are smaller than two inches, painted and have great detail. There are a variety of pieces ranging from Santas, Puss N Boots, Humpty Dumpty, skiing rabbits, etc. I believe at least some of the pieces are made by Department 56. I have searced ebay, etc. and can’t find these particular pieces (even dept 56 website didn’t have them)….any ideas???
