Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I was looking to see if anyone could please help me out with figuring out an approximate appraisal value on my antique French knife set for the late 18th century. These are sterling silver with mother of pearl handles and have unique punches where the blade meets the handle. Also it has a document showing the history and come in the original wooden box. See my files for further reference. Any help would be very much appreciated!
Thanks 🙂

This is owned by a friend, I suggested to him that it is a serving piece. I saw one similar a few moments ago on ebay. It was a bit different, but was listed as a Victorian Spoon warmer. What the heck is a spoon warmer? This is a heavy piece, the bottom footing is heavy cast metal and a bolt on the bottom holds the shell in place. No maker’s marks and the silver plate is worn and tarnished. Any information would be helpful on this piece and the history of Victorian Spoon warmers! Thanks!
