Hello everyone, I have been trying to figure out what these are, or belonged to. The bottoms are not alike. They seem to be cut off of something maybe a flag pole, or fence post? There heavy for a small piece they measure about 5″x5″ I have two of them. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Russian silver cigarette box. Engraved trompe l`oleil snake skin casket or suitcase.
Hallmarks for Moscow and Austrian Vienna import mark 1891 to 1901.

The dispute elsewhere is if this décor has ever been made in Russia. It is clamed that snake skin suitcase décor with CARTOUCHE means Germany, France or Austria and that CARTOUCHE for owner initials has never been made in Russia!
I have seen Russian cigarette cases with the same engraved stripes and buckles. If everything else is OK, can it be claimed only on CARTOUCHE and snake skin décor that the box is not Russian? Sounds a bit rigid. Any suggestions?

Trying to price these pieces for auction. Does anyone know where to look (other than ebay), or already know what each piece is worth?

All pieces are in good-excellent-mint condition:

9 Dinner plates (2-3 have minor nicks or scratches)
4 Coffee Mugs (all have slight nick/scratch)
1 Creamer Pitcher (mint)
1 Sugar Jar w/ Lid (minor scratches)
1 Coffee Pot (possibly mint)
1 Sauce Pan/Pot (a few nicks/scratches)
2 Large Oval Platters (mint)

I can email photo’s if it would help…?? I’m getting desperate with this stuff!!
