Let me check further on this tomorrow !! Evidently this and similar items were made as an export item in France !! I have found several, including one description on the Kovels site all using the same description of the handle on different sites !! None list a mfr or company that produced them !! That makes me think they were an item made just to sell rather than as a quality item !! They saw a market and simply took advantage of the opportunity to make a few dollars !! The price listed on the Kovels site was $336. but take that with a grain of salt !! It was from 2012 and the market has changed,,!! Most things here are way out of date and are incorrect as to value !! They really need to update !!
