Looking to date this little caddy.
I don’t know what it’s used for originally. Maybe for salt and pepper shakers.
What the letters “cc” stand for, and numbers. From what I get, it’s silver plated.
The value of this.
I bought it for .88 cents.

Just carry it with you and hit the thrift stores/goodwill/garage sales in your area !! Thats what I usually do !! You would be surprised at what you can find !!

Thank you so much marthahill.
You are quite the researcher I must say.
I’ll take your suggestion and just use it at home for something. ☺

I thought I posted to this last night !! Ashberry used several marks over the years and trying to figure out when the marks were used is about the only way to guess at a time period !! Best I could find was sometime between 1863 and 1900 !! But have not looked further to pin down dates !! My guess is that it was made close to 1900 or shortly before !! Could find nothing on the CC,, but if the company had another item that looked similar it may have stood for “Condiment Caddy” !! That would keep the people that worked for him from picking up the wrong item when another was similarly shaped !! May be wrong but at least thats my thinking !!

Thank you so much for the help.
I don’t suppose there is a specific date for this particular piece?

It is a condiment caddy !! You will find your mark in the link above !! It is likely electroplate so little value and it has quite a few scuffs where the base metal is showing !! I would just find some pretty containers that fit the caddy and use it !!
