Looking for any help with an alligator purse.

It IS alligator, with “baby alligator” head on it. Inside it’s stamped Genuine Alligator Made In USA

Most things I am finding online show made in Cuba in the 50s…..

I have no clue about this purse. I found it while going through my mother’s things after her death.
