I think that my grandmother might have made these rugs. She made a number of rugs in the 30s and 40s and these came from her house to my mother and now to me.
I am wondering if I can have them cleaned at a regular dry cleaner of if I have to go to a rug specialist. I want to store them for a few years and want to be sure I am keeping them in the best shape. Any advice and also any opinions on their value? Any idea of the cost to clean them by a specialist? They are 3′ x 5′ and I think they are wool. I know that she made rugs that were wool and she dyed her own yarn, at least that is the story I heard.
