Hi.
I need some help identifying the maker, a range of dates when it may have been made, and a possible value of the steamer trunk.
It’s in what I would consider excellent condition. Hardware latches work perfectly. Still has a key that turns just fine. Has a sticker on the bottom that is partially destroyed, but says “1903 St. Louis, USA.”
It is on wheels / casters.
There are two trays in this one. The top tray has a cover that folds over and appears to snap in place. When you fold back the cover, two compartments are revealed. Remove this tray, and another tray lies underneath. There is, unfortunately, a small hole in the second tray. The interior of the trunk does not look or smell like it has mold or decay. There are a lot of cedar wood chips floating around in the photos.
Any help is appreciated. Measurements are 36 inches wide, 21 inches deep, 25 1/2 inches tall.
Photos are in the word.doc found attached.
Thanks.
