I’m unsure if this item classified as a weapon or not but I am having tremendous troubles identifying this axe. I do know it was made by B.A. Hjorth & Co. Stockholm Sweden, which is stamped on bottom of the handle. Other than that I cannot find any information at all. I have scoured the web, put over 500 miles on the road going to different Antique dealers and 2 appraisers. With no luck at all on an approximate date, use our value. If someone could possibly identify or point me in the right direction I would be forever grateful.

The axe seems to be a decorative piece but I’m not sure. Definitely hand forged and the handle is hand painted as well. I’m not sure what the issue is with adding pictures it just wants to show the links???
