I’m unsure if this item classified as a weapon or not but I am having tremendous troubles identifying this axe. I do know it was made by B.A. Hjorth & Co. Stockholm Sweden, which is stamped on bottom of the handle. Other than that I cannot find any information at all. I have scoured the web, put over 500 miles on the road going to different Antique dealers and 2 appraisers. With no luck at all on an approximate date, use our value. If someone could possibly identify or point me in the right direction I would be forever grateful.

Your pics may be too large !! 2MB is the max size for a single post ! If your pics are more than that just reduce the size !! You can always do a second reply if needed !!

Trying again

The axe seems to be a decorative piece but I’m not sure. Definitely hand forged and the handle is hand painted as well. I’m not sure what the issue is with adding pictures it just wants to show the links???

Those links do not work here !! Can you post pics to this site ?? What country are you in ??
Not sure what you mean by “identify” !! An ax is simply that,, a tool !! They are sometimes meant for specific tasks if thats what you mean !! But normally they are used according to what the person that bought it wants !! Not always as it was intended by the maker !!
