Meissen hausmaler cup and saucer, gold chinoiserie scenes. Saucer with quatrefoil cartouche picturing three figures near a fountain, fluted back with gilt scrollwork and dots, and a molded rim. Beaker form cup with figures seated at table, two figures admiring a tea tray on a low table on reverse, gilt interior and two ear-shaped handles. Decorated in Augsburg in the Seuter workshop, c.1725, cup 3 1/4 in. h., $2,483.
