The International Society of Ikebana Research is an organization for teachers, researchers, and anyone interested in ikebana, a traditional Japanese art of flower arranging. The organization takes an academic view and interdisciplinary apporach, encouraging artistic, aesthetic, historical, cultural, social, and environmental perspectives. Online resources are available in English and Japanese and include a history of ikebana, glossary of relevant terms, essays, a photo gallery, and past issues of the International Journal of Ikebana Studies.
