Part of the Smithsonian Institution, the National Museum of the American Indian exhibits Native American artifacts, including objects, photos, art, and media; covering archaeology, ethnology, history, and contemporary art from all regions of the Western Hemisphere. The museum has locations in Washington, DC and New York City. The Washington, DC location includes the National Native American Veterans Memorial. The museum's archives center is open to researchers by appointment. Online resources include digital collections, archives, and photographs; online exhibitions; and videos of past events; and Native Knowledge 360, a collection of resources for students and teachers, including online lessons and virtual field trips.
