The National Museum of Women in Arts (NMWA), started by art collectors who specialized in artworks by women, promotes women artists by exhibiting, preserving, and researching their works. The collection includes painting, sculpture, photography, decorative arts, and other media from the 16th century to the present; some of which are available to view on the museum's website. The museum includes the Betty Boyd Dettre Library and Research Center.
