Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988) worked in Milan, Italy, from 1935 until his death. Fornasetti (his first name is rarely used today) designed and decorated furniture, fabrics, ceramics, and other types of decorative arts using familiar themes but startling, striking, and unconventional designs.
