All dollhouses have a value. The older and more complete the furnishings, the more valuable the dollhouse. The earliest dollhouses date from the sixteenth century in Bavaria, but it was not until the eighteenth century that they were a popular plaything for the rich. Furniture and dishes were made to scale by some of the finest craftsmen of the day.
