Q: This wall clock was purchased in the 1980s at an estate sale in California. The weights have to be adjusted every day. The clock strikes on the hour and half hour. Above the clock face it says, “Nu Flok Syn-Sin”–or the “o” might be a “c.” When I bought it, I was told the words were written in Dutch and referred to time, but I have not been able to translate the phrase. Can you tell me what it means and also estimate the clock’s worth?
