“Play it, Sam, Play ‘As Time Goes By.’” The words from the movie Casablanca are often quoted but they are not exactly what was said in the movie. Humphrey Bogart said “Play it.” Ingrid Bergman was near the piano that held the secret letters of transit under its hinged lid, an important part of the plot, and the reason the piano is so important. A $3.4 million bid won the famous piano at a Bonhams auction in November, 2014. It was a black and white movie but the piano is golden yellow with hints of green and gold.
