This is your last chance to see one of the largest pedal cars displays in the United States! After 29 years, Elmer’s Auto and Toy Museum in Fountain City, Wisconsin, is closing in September 2022. The museum will be open the first, third and fourth weekends in August and on Labor Day weekend, with its final day on September 5.

Elmer’s is one of the Midwest’s most unique museums, in operation since 1994. Five buildings hold more than 700 pedal cars and pedal tractors; 100 muscle, antique, and classic cars and trucks from 1910 and later; Indian and Harley Davidson motorcycles; high wheel and other old bicycles; and antique race cars. Visitors will also find thousands of antique cast iron, pressed steel and tin windup and battery-operated toys and many antique tools. The location is also a draw; it’s on Eagle Bluff, the highest point along the Mississippi River with a great view, so bring the family and a picnic lunch! If you are wondering what is going to happen to the collection, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, toys, advertising, petroliana and related items will be sold at Mecum Auctions on September 14–17.
