Bottles, pressed glass, art, furniture that includes three dining room sets, three roll-top desks and a Southern pine cabinet, sports memorabilia, old and new ceramics, silver, glass and textiles, and many more donated antiques and collectibles will be auctioned for Ideastream and WVIZ, the Cleveland Public Television station. The auction starts on Thursday, April 28, 2016, and continues through Sunday, May 1. Terry Kovel will again be selling the items on Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. You can watch and register to bid online or by phone (866-393-2525), by going to the WVIZ website, http://www.ideastream.org/auction.
From Philadelphia it will be hard to monitor the auction. When I lived in the area, we had to drive downtown to get items. What works when i am 400 miles away?
The links wou’t be up until a week before the auction, It is not like a regular auction, they don’t photograph each piece it is all live, 8 items to a board with an auctioneer, phone bids come it, other activities so you have time to bid , then a view of the board, no auctioning but you can bid till the bidding closes, more other activities, then the board is on camera while the auctioneer reads the results. the phone bids are put on paper and carried to the board so it takes a little time to be posted. Watch for a while to get used to the system. Antiques are on the X board, there is also an art board and a collectibles board and aBig board for trips etc and a quickie board for certificates, lessons etc. I will list the best antiques here as I see them each week
bidding is different too. I suggest you bid an odd number so you will be able to tell if your bid has been registered. You can also bid online and those bids go in right awayl
I, also, tried to visit website for auction. Link does not work.
