Van Briggle Vase Brings High Price
A Van Briggle pottery vase called Lorelei, made in 1898, sold for $187,500 at a Rago auction in June 2016. The 7½ inch tall vase has a relief figure of a mermaid curled around the top. The Colorado company continued to make the vase until it closed in 2012. A vase from the same mold made in the 1970s sells for about $1,500.
