Q: This little guy was found among my grandfather’s things after he died. He immigrated to the United States and worked as a facility manager at various Chicago hotels from the 1920s through the ’50s. My mother says the figure is a bellman. One piece of “luggage” he’s carrying can hold a book of matches and the other is for cigarettes. He’s about 6 inches high and is made of metal with a composition or wood head. What can you tell us?
